As a desktop publisher and professional resume writer I LOVE fonts. I have lots of them. But unfortunately when I write resumes I can only use a handful. That’s because most fancy fonts don’t translate well went they are submitted electronically. Many businesses don’t want or need the fonts that I have, therefore I have to stick with boring Times New Roman, Arial, Helvetica, or New Century Schoolbook.
Keep this in mind when writing your own resume. If you want it to be read, use standard fonts, don’t go below 10 points or over 12 points for text, and two points higher for headlines and section headers.
