This entry is hitting me hard as I write it, as 1st Rate Resumes lost a long time friend, colleague, and writing partner last week. Many of our clients will remember Forrest Glenn Spencer, our humble researcher who dug up information on everything from occupations, job openings, and background checks. Forrest passed away on July 10th and we will miss him immensely. His smile, contributions, and his wry sense of humor. What many people did not know about Forrest was that he was a consummate speech writer who wrote for many dignitaries who spoke at galas and fundraisers throughout Washington DC. He also helped produce Career Matters Radio on Fox 910 in Roanoke with a segment on veterans job search issues.
